One of the most important movements in the history of art was born in an Italian region called Tuscany: the Renaissance. Tuscany has been the origin of great artists who have travelled through time, its inhabitants carry in their DNA that gene that is based on genius and artistic expression. Luca Donzelli has that gene, but instead of applying it to painting or sculpture, he has decided to lead to music, creating electronic works of art.
For us, it’s complicated to talk about Luca, because Luca is our blood, and that’s why it’s hard for us to be objective. We love Luca above all things, and one of the reasons for this love is his ability to make us grow musically. Luca is one of those artists who is never conformist, he is obsessed with details, and he always finds points to improve. This quality is priceless. Being someone who seeks excellence and does not give in to resignation means that the final result will exceed all expectations.
After a period of apprenticeship, Luca Donzelli took his first steps on the clubbing scene at the age of 20. His energy, his originality and his refined style opened to him the doors of the scene in his native Tuscany, and he became a resident of some local clubs. Once his DJ career was established, and it was clear to him that he wanted to evolve towards production, Luca went into the studio to create hits that launched him internationally. “Bottle of Truth”, “Danzen Appeal”, “Burn That Gasoline” and “Daemonesque” were born. The quality of these tracks did not go unnoticed by labels such as TitBit Music and Wow! Recordings. Then a relationship that lasts until today was born. This was with Mar-T, which gave Luca the opportunity to get on important stages such as Sonar Week in Barcelona.
Everything was booming for Luca and in the summer of 2014 his career sped up, he played at the Amnesia Ibiza Opening party, for the third time at Sonar Off, at the Tini Soundgarden (Cecina, Italy) and at the Amnesia Closing Party After Party with more than 3000 people. In September of this year, he consolidates his relationship with Wow! Recordings, becoming one of the pillars of the label.
Luca continues leading the pack, performing at the best festivals and clubs and creating tracks for some of the best labels worldwide such as Davide Squillace’s “This and That”, Jamie Jones’ “Hot Creations” and remixing tracks such as “Going Back” from Popof’s “Love Somebody” album.
What can we expect from Luca Donzelli’s future? Most important thing: we hope that he will remain with us forever. And secondly, we are sure that his career has only shown us a small part of what he will be able to achieve.
